Final Year Degree show P.O.A...ish

Plan Of Action.

Had a meeting with my course tutor yesterday, to look at my source research and see what my thoughts on my final year collection.

Well, I have so many ideas I don't know what I'll be doing!!

All I know is-

Whatever I do will be quite abstract-with no notable inspiration (ie nature) but a combination of shape, texture and muted rich colour?

I like the combination of black and gold (black acrylic and gold metal? oxidised metal with gold acrylic?)...
I like using the lazer cutter to rastorize images onto acrylic. (almost like etching onto metal-same type of effect.)...
I like chunky & weighty pieces...
I like the combination of acrylic with metal(I like the balance.)...
And I like simple, architectural shapes involving curves/straight lines vs curves/traditional forms combined with abstract forms...

And that's not all!

I just need to make sure it all comes together!-will be writing a brief for my 4th year which I will pop up when written.

Till later (when I have my thought more structured!!!)x

Good luck! I can't wait to see what you eventually come up with (yes, I know it's next year and all that, but...)

I am cold and hungry. And still have 88 words to write to get to my sub-deadline for today. THEN I can eat. Then I can write the next 250 words. *sob*

This 1000 words a day thing is going to be SO good for my self-discipline but it might just end up driving me crazy...

Forget that. It IS driving me crazy. Are you back in Ayr now?

Not back in Ayr for a week or so-and then I'm only going to be there for just under two weeks-got lots of work to be doing, practical and ...written-urgh! Whens your dissertation due in then? We should have a couple of 'lets do no work and make cakes and tea and eat them all' afternoons/mornings.../all day!

Due the 17th April - then I am free free free! (Especially free as my tutor has decided to go for a weeks holiday...sorry, 'research programme'...on a remote scottish island and has cancelled our class that thursday.

I'm not going home until the 10th of April, just for Easter Weekend, then I'm back up here on the Monday night.

Saw this and thought of you.

Which reminds me - our baking/eating/drinking tea day must include a bit of knitting...
